Halibut Rigging: Spin N Glo Skirt & Spreader Bar Setup
Share
How to set up the Spin N Glow Skirt & Spreader Bar rig
This is one of our more traditional Halibut fishing setups. It's popular both offshore, in the Strait of Juan de Fuca and inside Puget Sound. The spreader bar allows for a tangle free drop, as long as your leader isn't too long. We like the Jumbo Spin-N-Glo's because they both add to the attraction of the setup, but also help float the setup and keep the hooks from dragging along the sea floor.
Add a strip of salmon, whole herring or squid to your hooks to really make this setup get bit! Also pick up a bottle of scent to drizzle on your setup before sending it down to the bottom. We recommend a Halibut mix, Herring, Shrimp, Sardine or Squid.
