Trout Rigging: Powerbait Egg & Sliding Sinker Setup

How to set up the Powerbait egg & sliding sinker rig

If you're fishing in a lake that holds Rainbow Trout anywhere in the Pacific Northwest, this setup is as good as it gets. Berkley Powerbait & Gulp Eggs are durable on the hook and flavored to specifically drive stocker trout wild. They are also buoyant, so a light-wire hook will allow it to float just above the lakebed where cruising trout are looking for their next meal.

We really like the light-tackle setup that this rig has to offer, and a sinker on a slider allows the trout to pick up the bait before they even know it's attached to a fishing line! When fishing with this setup, you'll often see your mainline start to get pulled by the trout before you even see the trout bite in your rod tip.
