Trout Rigging: Powerbait & Sliding Egg Sinker Setup

How to set up the Powerbait & Egg Sinker rig

Washington is scattered with hundreds of great trout fishing lakes, many of which are stocked with Rainbow Trout from local hatcheries. Throughout our travels across the state, this has been the most popular trout fishing rig we've come across.

Berkley Powerbait is an artifical bait that is specifically designed to entice trout. It has helped families across Washington catch limits of trout for generations. The bait is buoyant, and will float a small fine-wire hook just above the lakebed where trout are looking for their next meal.

We really like the sliding egg sinker, as it allows the trout to grab the bait without feeling any resistance, ensuring a good hookup. If you are looking for one bait rig for trout fishing in lakes, this is it!
