The egg sinker is a staple of Northwest bottom fishing, and Beau Mac’s version delivers the smooth, snag-resistant profile that makes it so reliable. The rounded, egg-shaped body slides freely along your line, so a fish can pick up bait and move off without feeling resistance, which means more solid hookups on bottom-hugging species. Fished as a slip sinker above a swivel and leader, it works well for lingcod and rockfish along Puget Sound structure, as well as bottom rigs for sturgeon and walleye on the Columbia and other big river systems. The shape also tumbles through current and rocky bottoms with fewer hang-ups than flatter or angular weights.
