P-Line's deepwater descender is perfect for releasing Rockfish and other species suffering from barotrauma. Sending your catch back to the depth it was caught at will compress the swim bladder and significantly improve chances of survival. Simply attach a heavy cannonball or halibut sinker to the bottom, attach the top end to the rod and slide the sharp end through the corner of the fish's mouth. Drop back down to the bottom. Lifting the rod tip will pull the descender away from the fish, safely releasing it.
